the recessed dash looks trick. is it fiberglass or metal and smoothed out?

Standard metal dash,all holes fill with fiberglass and a skim of filler over it all and then hour after hour of rubbing back.

Me too :lol: Going to hole-saw gauges in and fabricate some kind of 'visor' for each gauge to limit the amount of reflection on the window. Although I like the idea of sinking them in like sallyandsean have done.
Going for, Speedo with digital trip, fuel, monster tach on top of dash (already purchased), oil temperature, oil pressure, amps and volts. 8)

This weekend if all this white stuff goes Im planning on making a front bench seat that will double up as a kids bed. Will post some pictures next week for all to see :!: :D :D :D
 
looking good mate, love the colour of that shopped bus you did! what is it? matt greyish blue or something?
