Hey Sorry if its in the wrong thread, but whats the deal with the smooth dash boards? Is there a company that makes them or are y'all just making those? Oh yeah, do they make those in LHD?

Hiya 7Golf,

Both VW Heritage and http://www.customandcommercial.com stock replacement dashes.

however.....they come coated in a textured paint which has to be smoothed down. Whilst they do state that they fit either RHD or LHD vans, they have to be modified somewhat to fit the RHD vans.

I bought one for my last (late) bay, as the dash that was in it was full of stereo and clock holes (!) but in the end I managed to find a good original clean uncut one, and we used that one as it was less labour intensive than the new replacement one.

that said good original ones are hard to find, so depends how much fiddling about you want to do, and whether your van is LHD or RHD......

good luck.....!

Hello 7golf,

They are euro dashboards but if you spend a little time and strip the padding on yours you'll get a similar effect. Ill drop a pic of mine on later when I find my camera.

Pics of my padded dash stripped down.
