Dash smoke on reluctant startup

The camper's been standing for a while so I thought I'd give the engine a bit of a turn over. I recharged the battery and it took a while on the starter motor to get firing. Just as the engine fired up I noticed a whiff of smoke from behind the dash, now obviously the amount of time I had the ignition turned full on has done something but is it serious or not much to worry about? Once the engine got going there was no further smoke but I'm worried about the next time it might happen!

Check the ignition wiring anyway. Make sure nothing's burnt out. Take a look at the hot start relay and starting section links at http://www.ratwell.com/ too. Some good advice from those links.

LOOK AT THE POST FOR HOT STARTER RELAY,think that might give some idea.
