Devon car boot booty

Wasn't going to 'the boot' this morning but finally went. looked around at the same old **** then out of the corner of my eye i spotted something interesting at first glance a crappy plant pot holder, but look closer its got devon table legs and brackets to make the table coffee table size. been looking for some for ages and a mate was about to make some for me, only 3 legs but i have 2 tables and one of them has 3 legs so perfect. Not bad for a pound, it some times pays to go to the boot

What have you found that someone else is getting rid of :?:

Last year whilst my leg was in plaster, I got dragged out of the house by my girlfriend & parents to attend the local car boot. Brassed off after a 15 minute hobble I saw a cooker namely this one

Nicely negociated to £8, it's a Canterbury Pitt cooker & sold for a hefty profit :wink: as it was no use to me.

are you sure they're actually *devon* legs and not just generic 60s/70s fitments the likes of which you'll find lashed to the bottom of tables up & down the car boots of this septic isle

But then did Devon not use a generic 60s/70s leg, I cant see them bothering with a lathe to produce the legs, same as all the other fixings available in hardware shops across the country....

for instance, i've got 4 that were part of the great early autumn garage avalanche of 2008... they just came off a **** table, not out of a bus :?

maybe the leg man had to keep a breast of the issue "snigger, snigger" they are not black like my longer leg but are the same colour and have same feet as the other legs i have. Johnny The brackets on here were a bit rusty on the inside will have a look at some other ones i have tucked away and get back to you
