Hi All,

Just a quick post to gage interest, but i have copied an orginal shelf (many thanks Terry! 8) ) and have been able to make it exactly as original in every way! This is of course made in top quality stainless steel and is blinking handy for anyone who has these missing from their unit.

Could you let me know if anyone would be interested in buying one? I really need 10 to make it worth while and although are not cheap as chips they are not bad considering what goes into them (making up a jig and welding every rod in place takes a long ass time!)

The price will be £30 delivered to your door, i can of course knock of £2.50 if you collect from me

Let me know and i will get them made.

At present i am getting the mild steel test shelf made into stainless and will of course post up a picture when its made.

It is to fit in the holes on the top of this Devon unit heat shield (thanks Sparkwig for the piccy 8) )

What model van was this unit from?
A friend of mine was clearing his shed out, found one almost identicle to this and gave it to me

iirc his inlaws had a 77-78 Bay Devon once upon a time.
Could mine have come from this?

Rich

P.S The bloody shelf is missing from mine

Are the holes in the side panel where the unit hinge attached?
Will have a look at mine to see if its got the holes.

Rich

Hello all, well finally after testing and making jig up, the shelves are ready!

They are all 3mm high grade stainless and are an exact match to the originals, these are all tig welded for strength and precision.

So let me know who wants them and i can get some made up and sent out to you

Here are the pics of the new ones.
