In the march issue of volksworld theres a tech question and pic that mentions the internals of US supplied dizzys rusting,

Does anyone know which brands this affects? im looking to buy one from the us and dont want to buy a lemon or want to know to give it a spray with wd40.

volksworld rather unhelpfully dont mention a brand.

thanks in advance,Steve

Or just use an original distributor. Note that even the original dizzies had metal parts (not painted) so would rust up but you are supposed to oil them thus keeping the rust at bay

If you've seen the repro ones you'll understand why a good original bosch is a better bet but if this thread is aimed at Mallory etc then ignore this

I've got a bosch dizzy now,was looking to get a billet pertronix electronic type dizzy cheap from the states and wondered if these were the ones that rusted, guess wd40 would coat it in a nice film.
