OK I got the bus back and dug out everything that was with it. As I was doig this I found 2 of these

I dont know what they are and neither does Elvis (the bloke I got the bus from) Does anyone know what they are as I quite fancy the look of them. Only problem is there are only 2 of them and thats all that came with her!

On to the next thing. I am restoring this http://forum.earlybay.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=19588" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and have started the strip down. Now the question I have for you guys is..................where do I get the repair panels from. I know its probably been asked a thousand times before but I would just like to know who does the best gear to fit her as i dont want to struggle that much. I have been looking and all the places seem to be about the same price, but custom and commercial seem to do more genuine stuff so I was thinking of using them!

Any help on either of these topics will be most appreciated in my fight against rusty panles and my search of another 3 wheels the same :D

Cheers guys

They look similar to a wheel known as "modulars" Dont know if they are still made but you could pick them up new a few years back.

As for panels it depends what you are doing. I spoke to custom and commercial about arches for our 61 Split last week and they say they cant get hold of the genuine fit ones at the minute. ended up ordering Klassicfab ones from muscle bus but they only do splits. Seriously hoping those guys start on the EB stuff soon!

I use mostly Alan Schofield but again it depends what panel you are after as some of thier stuff is ace but some is crap, if you talk to them there they will tell you what the fit is like and i always found them very honest about things like that which helps. Ive just fit one of thier inner front valances to my crewcab and it fit straight on no messing. it had a few creases in etc but fit like a glove.

any more help on the wheels as I have searched on Modular but cant find the particular wheel!

Calling autocraft tomoz as I will use what ever panels they make over anything else.....then just struggle with the rest lol

Think they were no longer made BUT!!

Midland wheel supplies have a wheel called modular with no pic on the sight. Seems they are doing some wide wheels!

Ive also just scanned the 5x112 pcd wheels and cant see um but heres a link to the bug ones.

If that's a chrome plated steel 14" wheel, it's the same as my spare wheel. I assumed it came from the US in the back of the van.

Cheers guys

Looks like I wont be getting the set then if they are hard to come by!

Also I called autocraft and they said they dont make any panels for EB's so back to the drawing board for me on that front............looks like I am going to have to use the ****** repo panels and make them fit.

Why does no one make descent panels....surley there must be a market for it. I know that i would rather pay more for a panel that is better quality and thicker steel and has half a chance of fitting!
