Hey guys,
The selbsters are about to ask another question!
We are about to buy some wheel adapters for the front of our van, a pair of 5 x 112 to 5 x 205 as we have disks set up there and was wondering if you guys could help us out with a question.
We have seen 2 places that do these adapters, machine 7 and a chap advertising on split camper website.
Machine 7 adapters are 120 squid the pair but only 10mm thick
chap on split website is 60 squid the pair but 15mm thick.

Should we go for the cheaper option? My wallet says we should! :D But will the extra thickness on the adapters create probs?

Any ideas answers on a postcard please,
Thanks guys ;)

What wheels, and from whom, are you looking to fit? :)

Just want to find some original wheels like we have on the back if that is do-able, and maybe change them in the future for somthing else.

The problem is fella you fit wide 5s then you restrict the cooling to the discs hence the holes in the small 5s..... and you really dont want to cook your brakes

oh crubbush! Is that the case
We basically wanted to stop having to carry to spare wheels, as have wide 5 on front and 5 narrow on back. Its a real hastel having to lug 2 wheels about and now that we have another little bean on the way we need all the space we can get! My wife hates having a spare on the front of the van and wants to take this off and put a badge back on!

Man, now I really dont know whats what!

I've got 68 westy, running on Porsche 356 rims. I also have late 112 disc brakes at the front with adaptors to run 205 rims, which is what the Porsche 356 rims are. However just tried today and standard 14" 205 early bay rims will not fit over the caliper.

So yes you can fit 205 on the front, I have done it (see my gallery) but no the 14" rims will not fit. You'll have to go to 15" rims.

If the guy selling the spacers is butty, he does make good quality stuff.

But you'll need 15" rims to clear the calipers with the 205 rims. So that means new tyres as well, uness of course you are already on 15" rims?
