My bus has a rust free chassy rust free straight panels everything's original but it has new alloys and upgraded lights. Whilst i fit a new interior do i try to sorce all original parts some of which may not be that nice due to finding them hard to find or do i put nice new replica parts in ok they may not b exactly what should b there but may look nicer?
What would u do ?

Depends mate ,your van so its your rules

I was going to leave my van ratty but as time has passed ive found a different approach !

check a few threads etc on here and get a few ideas !! 8)

As Grazy has mentioned, it's your bus so do whatever you want. Use the search function and do your homework before you buy anything. If you can find OG parts in good condition then buy them. Repro is generally crap but sometimes it's the only option. Shop around for the best prices. Google is your friend, ebay is not. :D

Ok thanks I've done nothing to her yet ... not by choice but new baby n work commitments . ill give some thought as to which way to go ???

Hi,
These guys are right, do it your way. I think the key factor for most of us is affordability. I started off buying all the best quality NOS parts for my bus, NOS lenses top quality rubbers all new TMI seat covers etc, and nearly 2 years later I have spent a small fortune  I now think has it been worth it? I have not driven the bus yet... I think you should improve your bus incrementally whilst still using it. STuF's bus on here has gone down that road, and it looks uber cool. There is nothing wrong with new gear, especially if it's an upgrade, like a Berg locking shifter or new ATE servo etc, old stuff also works well, but don't buy it because it's old, buy it because it fits your bus! 8)

sound advice, would only add too let it evolve slowly and most importantly enjoy it!

Yes good advice thanks for that that puts my mind at ease that i don't have to put everything on her that is old and original .
