I'm at the unit later if you want me to measure the real thing?

Your a diamond Graham L if you can and the loadbed too..... I've got someone getting me some precut 12mm ply for the gates and loadbed.....I cant wait......

Still like the thinking get more bits so then you have to buy a crewie to fit it on. Is the impending purchase soon yyou lucky man.

This leeds on to my question that im posting, i want one this year please.

Araon

Can't find your email address so here goes:

Loadbed: 191cm x 167cm (dropgates down)
Side dropgates: 184cm long x 39cm high x 3cm deep
Rear dropgate: 167cm (bottom) 160cm (top) long x 39cm high x 3cm deep (except the corners), the corner blocks on the rear tailgate are approx 6cm square, see photo below, so you will need to cut a square out of the load bed ply at both rear corners to make the gate fit.

Any more info you need let drop me an email,

Is it worth putting ply on the bed and dropsides as it would smarten mine up, what sort of ply are you thinking of using?

Cheers for the detail Graham....

PYE as the gates will be acting as a coffee table they need to be pretty presentable for the customers so there going to be a 12mm ply i'll run around the edges with a router (not sure on the profile yet) and stain them a teak or rosewood or something similar the load bed I'll also line to match and I'm gonna have a chat with someone on thelatebay.com re a central display/storage cabinet well thats the general idea anyhoo still nothing finalised or set in stone

Have a look into phenolic plywood. AFAIK it is much more durable than even marine plywood, it used for shuttering concrete which can be re-used and it is the plywood the large advertising hoardings use. We bought some scrap a while ago which had been used for advertising hoardings for years, judging by the paper build up, and it was still in great shape structurally. Larger timber merchants stock it or should be able to get hold of it.
