My workmates/friends like my Bus and Bug, few little piss takes but i give as good as i get.
Sometimes i even start it :mrgreen:
One workmate owns a 1600E Cortina (minter) always good for a joke.
Other has 3 motorbikes inc 1 classic Triumph and only uses them on the hottest days of the year, nail him every time he takes the piss :mrgreen: .

The people who wind me up are those you see when your out driving :evil: .

Your driving down the road at a fair old pace and suddenly someone will pull out of a junction on you because they dont want to be stuck behind a slow old VW.
Theyd probably think twice if they knew i had Drums all round and no Brake Servo :lol:

Sod em'.....I couldnt give a badgers chaff what anyone says. I get comments like why you wasting money on that pile of ****, i just chuckle to myself and ignore them...One thing i will say tho, i like the looks from the women when im driving it, all smiles ...Seems to be the blokes mostly who make comments, probably cos they havent got a clue.....

Over here on this side of the pond one runs into the same type of attitude concerning Busses. Face it, it's just a fact of life that folks who don't know better are intolerant of anyone who does not live their life the same way.

However, I have to put up with intolerance from a group of people who should know better - VW drivers. No, not about the Bus. But about my Bug. It's an AutoStick. You would be surprised at how many Bugowners simply cannot stand the sight or mention of an AutoStick. The most interesting facet of this hate is that none of them have ever owned an AutoStick much less driven one.

Very nice looking bug (and bus) you got there Mr Bookwus. I for one would not knock it just because I prefer a conventional manual transmission, it's a fine looking car, enjoy it!

My favourite, totally in earshot, was at the Super Nationals in Ipswich last year. Two buses parked up, we were sitting around, two blokes come and one says to the other... "The thing about these bloody old busses is that they just have no soul!" :lol:

It's a now a running joke between us lot.
