Hi all. Newbee question...

If found a EB with a sliding door on both sides. Im told this is a walk through model. Is this a standard feature to some models? What sort of interiors would normaly be fitted in these as this one has no interior. What are peoples opinoins on these types of models?

Hi , i think twin sliders were designed to be a delivery van so the load could be put in either side.

most were indeed delivery, but also airfield micros were double sliders and specials or options.... if its a walk through chances are its not a delivery vehicle (or by walk through are you refering to the ability to walk through door to door instead of the normal meaning of walk through being the progression from cab to cargo area).... any other details? can you get the M-plate info as this will provide further more indepth info.....

very nice bus see/speak to slammed kustom hes working on his double slider microbus at the minute....

Twin sliding door buses (as opposed to the vans) were often used as minibuses, ie quicker and easier loading/unloading of passengers, and handy if parked up on the 'wrong' side of the road, as passengers could use whichever door was closest to the pavement etc.

I had a twin slider late bay, and very handy it was too! It was an ex firebus, which had bench seats fitted.

Most twin slider buses tend to be non-walk through, ie a full bulkhead behind the front seats, and as such, camper conversions will usually have a big unit across the width of the van just behind this bulkhead, containing cooker/sink etc. Had I kept my bus I would have had this arrangement, and then the back seat would have been a full width rock and roll bed. :D

Thanks guys for your response. :D

Im trying to get the m plate details (will post when I get it) from the current owner now and any history if he knows. It has no interior at the moment. But it doesnt have a tin top. Cant make out what the roof is from the pics. Asked for more details on the roof. It has windows in both sliding doors and both rear quarters and in the tailgate.

Yes.. as youve probably guessed an ebay advert.

Hi all. The van has been unlisted from fleecebay so its probably sold and he didnt get back to me any way. :(

How would you go about using the M plate codes to find the spec data. Is there a web site or manual or do yo have to take it to VW?
