Hi

I need some help.

Have been fitting new drive shaft boots today after van failed mot on split boot.

The problem Im having is finding the right tool to spread the new circlip to hold the cv joint back on the drive shaft.

The only sort of circlip pliers I can find are the ones with the round end, the circlip I need to spread is more like a piston ring so need circlip pliers with flat ends.

Does anyone know where I can get this type of pliers from? or should I be looking for a tool with another name, and if so what are they called?

Thanks all

Ian

just done the same job the specialist tool is called a screwdriver

Lmao, managed to borrow a pair of clip pliers from a guy at work made life much easier.
Just a note foe anyone doing this in the future the clip is called a lock clip and lock clip pliers make it an easy job to do.
