Hi EarlyBay fans

Hope your well

Let me introduce you to the concept that is Dub Vacation http://www.dubvacation.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

25 Years ago, the shape of the UK VW scene changed forever, with Brett
Hawksbee’s ‘First Annual UK Bug Jam’. Now two and a half decades
later, comes a radically different alternative to the usual show, the
‘First Annual Dub Vacation’. The Dub Vacation is a family friendly VW
enthusiast camping and caravan holiday culminating in a show. With a
full week of activities and excursions, the entire package averages
less than £60 per person including the weekend show. In a way, this
event has been 25 years in the making, by far the most ambitious and
potentially the most enjoyable week for VW lovers in a quarter of a
century! It’s an absolute ‘must do’.

From the 6th to the 12th August 2012, the Dub Vacation venue will
become ‘Volksburg’ a temporary community of VW enthusiasts and
families. Pitches are available for campervans, cars and tents, or a
combination of both. Touring caravan plots are also available. The
holiday location has a host of permanent facilities for the entire
family. The complex includes two fishing lakes, a nine hole golf
course, driving range, putting, ‘crazy golf’, an Owl and Birds of Prey
centre, petting zoo, shops, restaurant, fitness centre, even a post
office.

Dub Vacation offers a variety of activities for all the family,
throughout each day, with a huge range of workshops and daily
actvities, followed by evenings around the camp fire, with
storytellers for children, as well as bands and solo acoustic artists.
Each day will include a day long feature activity such as Archery,
laser clay shoot etc. The children’s treasure hunt and other kid’s
activities run every day throughout the week.

With most of these elements included in the price, the holiday will
average less than £60 per person. This price is for the full week with
all camping and many optional activities, as well as entrance to the
weekend ‘Volksburg’ VW Show

Please feel free to have a look around our website and ask any
questions you may have,

Thanks for your time

Danny

It is always great to have al the VS lovers flocking and trie enough, this is another event that will surely showcase the rich history of the collection. I would really like to be able to participate this event.

There was one similar event held a couple of years back and it just brings the good old memories and make them seem like they were just a big part of the contemporary.

Its on the website, Stoneham Barns in Suffolk (just off the A14 before Ipswich)

I'm going, thought I'd give it a go, some usefull activities happening and ideal to visit some relatives aswell.
Any one else going.

This does sound great - going to run this by the missus this evening, also not a million miles for me so very tempted.

@User: Dub Vacation - what's the status? much interest?

The site can accommodate way more than we will see on the first year, so there will always be space for any late bookings. Online booking will be possible right up to the Monday of the event. If you can't make the week, 10th - 12th is the DubVacation weekender, a regular VW event weekend... :)

Hi all

Well we had a fantastic time last week at the first Dub Vacation, Great dubbers and young dubbers alike what a wonderful and relaxing atmosphere, the usual evening antics, great evening barbicues, shame it was only supported by about 60 families but your loss our gain.

A BIG BIG THANK-YOU to Bret for all his hard work, we will definately be going next year.

Kermit ran like a dream on his first outing with the rebuilt 1776 engine what a way to run it in 160 miles each way fully loaded with trailer in tow, not a hicup.

Just a couple of pics of something a few adults and a load of children knocked up in the sand pit one day.
