Can you make bench seats into walk throughs ? Is there a removable section in the middle that you can take out ?

I think you're confusing a couple of different things here.

Non-walkthrough models had a standard drivers seat and a 2/3rds bench seat.
Walkthrough models could be fitted with an optional extra that was a removeable middle 1/3rd seat. I think Bluebird Customs do a reoro of this?

I wouldn't advise cutting up a 2/3rds seat if that's what you're thinking. Better to flog it or swap it for what you really need.

Whats the reasoning behind the question?

I have a walk though but have fitted a buddy box for extra storage between the seats. Gives me somewhere to put my crap and best of all stops the little ones from wandering from the back to the front...

I've seen a couple of busses now with bulkheads behind the seats :( I just think it would be a bummer if it's pissing with rain and you got to get out to get in the back. I'd soon get fed up of climbing over. My little ones have grown big and horrible and left so no worries about that ;)

The ones with a single and a double seat go all the way across, suppose the shell is stronger if it does.

Some campers that are based on panel vans have bulkheads right across (they will be what you have seen I guess).
They can be cut out and altered to be a walkthrough but If I was you I would just get a walkthrough. The work to alter a bus would be pretty major (possible), but major! :D

Sorry but a very misleading statement, panel vans came in walk through and non walkthrough guise and window vans came with the same option, as you could get an 8/9 seat microbus option with a full width bulkhead. But as others have said if you want a walk through then get a factory one with the 2 bulkheads behind the individual seats.

I think that 'very misleading' is a bit strong! The only campers that I have seen with a full width bulkhead have been panel van conversions (hence saying I guess/some - as thats all I am basing it on...my experience). As for the rest of what I said, its true...a bulkhead model could be altered but its a major job. :D
