was hoping the shoulder on the shaft where it meets front of the dynamo would be nice and square, but its not , so thats my spacer idea up the creek! worth taking to the recondioners,see what they can do. if a replacement is needed, id go alternator i think.

stuck with the dynamo,put a new one on , no one gave me a good reason to change :roll:

Glad you got it sorted.An alternator will give you the juice needed to run amplifiers for a sound system and a split charge system etc.If you're running a fairly standard set up then you'll be fine.
