Hi,

Looking into putting overiders into production they will be exactly as the originals.

Would anyone be interested?

I would be interested in some middle seat brackets that move it forward so when the z-hinges are in I pull it in to a bed :D

Shaggy you not thought of changeing the t-bolts to a cam type quick release so you release and pull the bench forward slightly and lock it back in place shouldnt needto move much at all....

I still maintain there is nothing this man dont know lol

And no i never learn but at least overiders have no moving parts and i have a good manufactorer now which seemed to be the biggest battle.

OOOO! good idea :D I did think about turning it round.

Yer i was thinking about this in bed last night sad as i am i wouldnt mind turning the middle seat around also! not for traveling but for when your parked up at a show.

I also thought about putting the middle seat against the vans side to form an L shape but i guess you'd have to bolt feet onto the floor to hold it.

I would certainly be interested and was wondering just the other day why no-one has gone down the repro route already seeing as there don't seem to be many about and folk always seem to be hunting for a set.......would certainly root out the charlatans slapping insane prices on grotty rotten pairs just because of the rareity factor; in my eyes rare shite is still shite

How many intergalactic moon dollars would they be do you think?

Best of luck getting them sorted :)

Olly

Just completed my "Creative and analytical thinking" course  bloody work, do all these courses and its just more for them to ignore

Not sure but the bolt may take a bikes QR mech or be able to have the thread re cut on the QR or Bolt :?:

or any fabricator should be able to knock some out to the bolt thread...

I'll ask my guy about these overiders then he's had them for a few weeks now so i'll ask him for a price what do they usually go for without rubbers a good set that is seen as these will be basically new?

As for the middle bench problem i'll ask him about quick release bolts sounds a good idea although it dont take to long just to loosen the current bolts and slide forward and rebolt i guess.

Dave

Ah but with QRs its a lift pull forward and press down job done in a flash

May contemplate refitting the middle bench now :?

I took my middle seat out straight away but recently i've been using the van as my daily so refitted it cos my car share mates where fighting over shotgun as no one could hear the conversation in the front over the engine lol.

Its really useful for short journeys but it will get in the way when at shows unless i could turn it and slide it back which i guess a quick release would allow.

If you sort some out Araon let me know.

I might see you Saturday cos taking Jim the prototype set i had in my van as i'm having a final set lol.

Not sure buddy he dont know when he'll be up yet.

The final sets will be ready onFriday but then they need to go to the powder coaters the following week.

A couple people have said they want them non coated but i think they'll look better coated.

Hi will the overiders be pre pressed for the rubber strips ? and have you a contact for a supply of rubbers "the strips that is"
I believe baydreamers used to sell them when they had them
And are they cast or pressed "not bothered eitherway just curious"
As to how they are made
Dave..

Yer they will be exactly how the originals are which have a strip for the rubbers to fit into i think!

My manufactorer is looking into pressing them?

Sorry ... holes for the rubber to bolt through
Pressing will be very expensive. The tooling will cost a small fortune
What price do you have in mind for a pair un painted/powder coated ?
