Ex Westy,
Thought this could be fun/interesting, what have you got for your bay that it is fairly rare?
We've all seen clocks before, and trip reading speedo's, ambulance fans etc, but anything a little different?

I picked these up for my crewcab, commercial mirrors. I cant say I've seen any before, but that doesn't mean they're not common. I think they're gonna end up on my 71 Bus. Not sure they are strictly 'early bay' as they have a 74 date on the sticker.

So what have you lot got?

Great idea Neil. :D

By the way those mirrors are for a Type 181 but I was also contemplating running them on my bay but turns out they are quite rare.

Really, 181, well there you go.

So what's anyone else got that is actually Bay?

Arizona Yellow paint, as far as I know only 4 in the U.K. :D

I have two grey interior westy louvre window seals which are fairly scarce i think? :msn4:

With VWs, one could never be sure about their diverse ways and options. I learn something new everyday. While hunting for 2nd Generator bracketry for my VW182 (military option 24v for funkenwagen/radio car), I came across this oil filler neck/generator mounting stand/bracketry which is at 90 degrees to the normal oil filler on Type1 aircooled VW engines, not so long ago. It was on Military spec bay window engine, in Switzerland.

its these wide bed truck mirrors that are rare, but its their mounting brackets which have become hens teeth! so brackets, rarest of the rare!

Rust free UK bus.

They can't be that rare, I have one

I have the original KPH overlay sticker for MPH speedo and an original accessory intermittent wipe by Hella - nothing much really, they have been on there since the 70's.

By the way, I didn't know the 181 mirrors fitted, I thought the threads were different.

Always something new to know :D

Good thread, looking forward to what else turns up.
