So, thinking about using 944 (non turbo) front hubs, and was comparing the two sets of genuine VW spindles that I've have inherited with my Early Bay:

This may be a silly question (fairly new to air cooled scene, but got a fleet of Water cooled dubs) - but are Late Bay spindles inverted? ie. where the track rod / tie rod ends connect to the spindle..

They're both original VW Bay spindles, with the original 67/68 spindles on the bottom of the pictures.

Also, if I were to use the Late Bay spindles - then in theory I wouldn't need to purchase 944 brake caliper brackets?
