Jon (Faux) told me this resulted in a trophy today! Good work fellahs! :)

I had a great weekend, put some more names to faces and saw some cool earlybays. The weather held out until Sunday and when the heavens opened it got very wet.

Si (windsurfer) was adding more bling, Jon's (thru) bus was looking cool, we also had a 2 early bays taking home trophies, but I'll let them tell that story.

With a bit of bullying, from me. I dragged everyone over for a club line up and had some freindly rivalry with ssvc (flateric). They had some top splits, so it was great to be given the best club trophy which will be engraved and we will take it back for next year

thanks to everyone who turned up and for those who camped, I hope you all had as good a weekend as I did?

If you have photo's please post them, and I will be picking one to send rikki James who wants to put a photo and small write up in his column in volksworld.

Off for some well earned sleep now.

Jon

Nice one Jon,

Great effort on your part for the organising.....well done to Rich (robins) on his trophy, great to put faces to names. Lineup looked great on Saturday (after some gentle persuasion :D )

Camping was on a decent field, anyone who walked the rest of family camping can confirm that, DatC is in a great location, really family friendly.

This was my first show in the bus, my first since '92 and my wife and kids first ever - they were sceptical but are now hooked and we'll be squeezing in a few over the next few months before bus goes in for complete refurb in the Winter...

I'll get some pics on later.

Another top show, it was nice to put a face to some names, and have a gander at your vans, there were some stunning vans there. it was also nice to finally get my van to a show! Even if I did loose a calliper bolt on the way down! (wrong type of bolt in the kit)

My mate took some nice photos so I'll post them now.

Mark

1st Show I've stayed at. Really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and having a look at your bays.

Great camping spot organised by Jon!!

cheers all,

I made it for the day on a last minute decision to attend :)

Didn't spot many EBs in the EB camping by the time I got there

Was the white early westy I overtook going across the severn bridge on the way home anyone on here? I overtook 3 bays in my '71 across the severn bridge, and lost them by the top of the steep hill the other side  Being a white westy I'd imagine that limits us to about 1/2 the EBs in the country ;)

Depends what time, we left quite early, saw a few bugs on the way back, didn't notice a bay doing nearly 60!!! though!

The white westy was being followed by a late bay and had another bay right in front of it...

Sometimes it's easier to try to keep the momentum up than to slow down to stay in a line of bays :( On hills I need all the momentum I can get

ha, fvecking ace, well done EB, about time we showed the ssvc who the new boys in town are

come on, who got trophies then?!

As one of the organisers of the show I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that supported us again this year.

We hope we have put on a great event for families to enjoy for years to come at family prices

We will shortly begin organising our show for Easter weekend (Fri-Mon April 2010) which will be held in the grounds of Tredegar House, Newport.

This show will be in addition to Dubs at the Castle which will remain on the same date as Bugjam

My special thanks go to Ant, ;) Steve my Welsh Lee Evans look-a-like mate ;) and all the marshalls who helped make the event an amazing, family show :D

no...thank you westy....

this show has gone right to the top of my favourite show list along with bristol!
im not into these 'party all weekend' shows anymore...im more into the chilled vibe type shows...

my first year this year and the venue is just soooo spot on.... (especially as the EBers had such as cool, sheltered, nice and central camping field - we better get that one again next year jon!?!?! ) ...really nice surrounded by trees and plenty of room to run the dog and a nice field for the line ups and traders etc. the event field was cool with a good selection of food... (pizzas from the oven... genius!!!) and 'proper' coffee stands!!! and good fun entertainment!

i much prefered the relaxed line up on the saturday rather than rising at the crack of dawn on sunday with a stonking head, missing breakfast and rushing to get into the show and shine....
sunday morning was a relaxing one instead!!!!

okay so the weather couldve been a little better at times... but it certainly didnt dampen the spirits...
and now i feel relaxed in the fact that ive finally camped with a load of people ive never met but only spoken to via my keyboard..... and youre all cool in my book!

of course i did have a few issues with some of the speed bumps...but nothing that wont straighten out!!!!!

bring on next year!!!!!

had a great time thanks to the others that were there.
it was good to meet all the jons  and there family's,and dogs, which keeped my youngest entertained and annoyed their owners sorry ;)

it was my first show in the van, first sleep in the van and first show and shine and ended up with a third spot :D

Not a problem Rich, we actually need more interaction with the puppy, to ensure he grows up less nervous than our exceedingly grumpy older one!!!! It was our first show, stayover etc....great for the kids to have company of a similar age, we had a great time, there will be many more.....most definately Tredegar House next year......

Twas an excellent show, I really enjoyed kicking back at night with the Chiminea, guitars, beer and good company. The venue is perfect for families. Excellent line up too

Nice little show . I much prefer these small shows to the big, hedonistic chav-fests where you pay a fiver for a portion of chips and are surrounded by pissed Max Power readers.

Good catering, nice company, nice camp site ( cheers Jon ;) ) and especially good line up on Saturday morning. Definitely consider this one again even though it's a long way from Sussex.

Ime going to put the show'n'shine results up later ;)

So glad everyone enjoyed the show , both bands were top what i seen of them that is again a big thanks to steve yes lee evans look, From me , ant , we love you buddy ;) also john - greg who did the club displays on the saturday , ;) who won that i cant remember

And a really big thanks to everyone who came you guys make the show for us , dont forget our easter weekend show next year to
family weekend booking in advance before the end of jan will be £30 kids go free so that £15 per adult ,,for four days Will
Be £20 on the Gate
