need to pick my kids up in 1hr and therefore have got to get the little jobs done!

so the clutch is new
cable is new

adjusted the biting point seems too high as in very close to the top.....

do I

UNDO

or

DO UP tighter


ready steady GO.........

you should push the pedal about 20mm before feeling some resistance biting point will be about another 20mm after that , i know as i did mine last saturday ;)

the clutch is really light = all components are new

the clutch pedal moves about 20mm then the bite just feels really high - I'm going there now

so I'm clear in my own head - what does the tightening do in terms of clutch biting point?? clutch operation??

it moves the biting point higher up the pedal slacking will lower the biting point , go for a spin round the block after adjusting it will see how it feels , backwards and forwards on the drive doesnt give you the right feel

it does thanks - I need to put belts and seats in then :lol:

least I will save this info for when I do the final test run before MOT time......

I adjusted it out 4 turns - and it's a shade too low now - so 1 1/2 tighter should be spot on - my van thanks you
