Arrgghh, I took out my engine from my 71 and found the graphite & bronze bush that supports the clutch op shaft at the starter motor end was sloppy, so I 'extracted' it thinking "no problem, VW Heritage list them in the catalogue". Well guess what, they're now obsolete and JK don't stock them either. Destroyed the old one taking it out, so any ideas on where I could get one or do I have to make one??

Thanx

A.

What is the O.D /I.D? May be the same as the bug. We have various silicon/bronze ones at work, and I will check.

O.D = 16.04 mm

I.D = 13.85 mm

Length = 20.00 mm

These are as far as I can tell from the old one.

Thanx

Ant

Checked yesterday, and believe it's the same as bug, just a longer cross shaft on the bus. I will check measurements monday against yours.

It is the same as a bug one 113-141-711. We have 080-141-711.1 also . Priced at about $3 ea. at our shop, but S&H might be a killer! Try the local VW dealer for a dealer search on the 113 number if nobody else has it. If you can wait I will be in the UK in October!
