Empi quick shifter LHD

Before I buy! do the empi trigger shifters fit LHD's. Wanted an unbiased opinion.

I notice they lean slightly towards the driver and thought as mines a lefty it would lean the wrong way :shock:

I fitted one to mine (LHD) no problem,big improvement.

Scat shifter on ebay....a lot better than the empi, had the scat in my bus & only changed it when I up-graded to a Berg

thanks guys, i would like to fit a scat, trouble is I have this really cool Tiki head that I want to fit on top of the shifter and im not sure if the scat one is compatible?

Where as I know you are able to fit other knobs :shock: on the empi one.

Anyone know any different?

i have a empi one and it is great no going from 1st to rev anymore ...............................but remember to bend it slightly so as you can use the hand brake and 1st gear :roll: ..........

....I have the polished mooneye knob :wink: but it is too small and looks a little silly

I asked this question before when I was looking at SCAT and was told the t-bar handle also unscrews. Tho I must point out this is what I was told, not what I know - I still use the stock shifter.

i have a scat and yes the handle unscrews. not sure what the thread size is though.

this is great info guys thanks. The tiki head i have hasn't got a thread just a hole. I think i will have to modify it to fit i think.

Does anyone know if one shifter is taller than the other? I really wanted the hole 'rat fink' gear shifter way up high style but obviously there is nowt on the market for that and I'm not really good enough to fabricate one.

empi is taller, thats what i took off to fit the scat. wanted some bling! tapping is an easy job, im sure they could do it.
