Looks like its drooped and coming away, I noticed in other bays there have a round hole stuff has a PO replaced this doesn't look right to me?

Looks exactly like the panels in my 70
I think the late bays have the metal panels with the large diameter holes in. I am replacing my saggy panels with a piece of metal sheet with holes in i had made up, so I can use it as a support for my firetec extinguisher hose.

I removed the old saggy soundproofing and replaced with Dynamat then fitted ally sheet with pierced holes through it so I could fix firetek hose to it. Made quite a lot of difference to the noise level from the engine. Also fitted Dynamat to sides of engine bay as far up towards the vents as possible.

I agree with AGC. We've installed quite a few Dynamat type sheets to the engine bay and they do make a difference. We normally stick it to all the interior facing panels.

It can be quite labour intensive to do properly with all the cleaning and prep of oilly panels.

Got it from local fabricators. got them to cut it to size then cut it in half so I could get it in the engine bay. Fixed it with self tappers and washers to rails in engine bay. Its nothing like the thin stuff from Homebase... its approx quarter inch thick.
