My engine is out as a part of the resto. It was rebuilt in 2006 and seems a very healthy engine so I'm not planning an major sprip down, but I am getting the tinware powder coater. It's a standard 1600TP.
I've noticed a minor oil leak from the sump at the strainer so probably simply the gasket there. There is also a bit of oil at the front crankshaft around the seal but this is very minor. I've also notice petrol stains on the side of the card float. It's a 34 PICT I think.
So what else to fix. I was thinking: -
1. Rocker Gaskets
2. Front Crankshaft Oil Seal
3. Carb rebuild kit - What's worth doing and from whom
4. Sump Strainer Gaskey
5. Rear Crankshaft Oil Seal - Is this easy to do?
6. Full Clutch & release bearing - What make to go for
I'll probably buy a full gasket set. I was looking at Machine 7's as you get the exhaust gaskets. I'm changing the exhaust so that's oss and so are the Heat Exchangers for powercoat.
All advice appreciated.
