Engine won't idle

My engine wouldn't start so I cleaned everything and even my points as they where a bit bitty, but I done this with sand paper :shock: still wouldn't start so I changed my coil now it starts but won't idle nor run when I apply gas? Any ideas?

Might be a silly answer but did reset points gap correctly. If points were badly worn might be a good idea to fit new ones. :idea: GSF at Middlesbrough .
