final drive ratio on a 2.0l gearbox

4.857 final drive as opposed to the early 5.375 though the shaft will need to be swapped or cut down.. as the bell housing is slightly longer this also means the starter motor is longer...and it will push the engine slightly rearwards
 
so is it just a case of cutting the shaft down oh and the starter motor shaft is too long,does the 2.0 box fit the og mounts on an earlybay??

has anybody got a 2.0 in an early and running a 1.6?

lots of questions but im wondering which direction to go in at the mo
