Fixing the floor

I've stripped out the interior of my Danbury and have found that the ply flooring under the vinyl has a few areas that need repair. The ply was screwed directly to the steel floor which has led to seized threads, sheared heads and rusted screw holes that need welding up. Is there really any reason to screw the floor down or can I just plonk it in and leave it?

I put 9mm Marine Ply down and it just sits under its own weight ! 8)

Seriously though, Grazy is spot on. My Westy floor holds it's self down too.

Same. Weight of stuff keeps it down. I also reckon that it will stay more level if allowed to flex.

Cheers everyone! I'm going with K@rlos's solution and will be buying 4 crates of beer this evening! How long they'll last though is anyone's guess!
