Folks, I've stripped out the interior of my westy and I'm now looking at rust proofing and painting, possibly insulation/ sound proof too.

My plan was wire brush, rust converter, then paint. Does this sound about right?

Regarding insulation, I removed the old fibreglass from the doors, am I best doing a like for like replacement or instead, cover the panels with flashband?

Thanks

There are a few threads already on soundproofing and insulation and everyone has their opinion. Flashband is not that heavy, there are better products which will reduce panel vibration which is your main aim here.

Insulation can have its disadvantages; I don't intend to put any on mine, just some soundproofing.

Make sure your inside doors have some plastic sheeting to allow leaking water to flow down in through your door to the holes at the bottom....there are some threads on this also.
