Fly Wheel Oil Seal

Hi

I have had my engine rebuilt recently and replaced the flywheel oil seal, which now seems to be leaking, I bought a genuine VW seal from VW Heritage as part of my engine rebuild package can any one advise me if these are genuine or if you know a better seal as looks like engine out again!!!!

Hi, I am new to this, so apologies if I am wrong. Aren't there two oil seals related to the flywheel? The main seal and the flywheel O ring. The O ring - I am told can easily be missed.

Just as a thought - are you sure it is the flywheel oil seal leaking and not the gearbox one?
