For sale is my daughters 1971 1300cc Beetle in Rover Amaranth purple paint.
She has owned it 5 years and in that time it has had all the necessary rust repairs taken care of and is now structurally sound. List includes:
• Drivers side heater channel
• Drivers side front quarter panel
• Drivers side rear quarter panel
• Drivers side lower A post/hinge panel
• Drivers side rear crossmember
• Drivers side wheel arch repairs
• Passenger side rear crossmember
• Passenger side wheel arch repairs
• Passenger side lower A post/hinge panel
• Passenger side front quarter panel
• Passenger side heater channel front repair
• Front lower bulkhead
• Entire front clip was replaced by previous owner (badly) and has now been re-welded
The car is fitted with a period stereo radio/cassette with four speakers, rear parcel shelf, has mini metro high back front seats, new carpets, 4 brand new inertia seat belts, electric windows and remote control alarm/immobiliser and central locking, 4 recent-ish new tyres and a fairly new battery, new solid fuel line and all new brake lines, slightly lowered, on adjusters at the front.
Now the not so good bits. The body is a little scruffy in places, but is, on the whole, sound. The paint is not perfect but wouldn't take too much to make good. That was the plan but a new car for her came first so it is time for it to go.
It has 12 months MOT, only needed a new rear brake cylinder to pass, with no other advisories.
Asking for £2500. (Price dropped again!)
