1972 camper early baywindow.

This beautiful classic is sadly for sale due to health issues.

It is powered by a 2000cc type IV air cooled engine giving it a strong motor able to keep up with modern traffic and easily able to cruise on motorways at 60-70mph. It is running twin Dellorto 36 carbs paired with a vacuum advance electronic ignition distributor and an electric fuel pump. There is a Filterking fuel regulator with pressure gauge fitted. The exhaust is a quality stainless steel unit made by Vintage Speed. The clutch plates were renewed 4000 miles ago and it is running through a six rib gearbox. There is also an external oil cooler with electric fan so no over heating problems when in slow summer traffic.

To aid the stopping process there are front disc brakes (recent new pads) combined with a servo assist and braided brake lines. Front beam is a Creative Engineering weedeater. It was put on two years ago and is height adjustable should you wish a different ride height, currently set at standard height.

It is set up for two berth with a full width rock'n'roll bed. There is a two burner and grill gas stove with gas bottle for cooking. It has a 12v/240v cool box for keeping food and drink chilled as you tour around seeing sights and all the happy faces as this van is a real head turner and smile bringer. The stow away table is very handy and neat and tidy. Extra seating with foldaway buddy seat. There is a leisure battery, on a split charger, for running 12v outlets in the van and it has electric 240v hook up for when at camp sites. (hook up cable included). Picnic kit included for crockery and cutlery.

The cab has leather Alfa Romeo seats and modern inertia reel seat belts. There is a period rev counter in the dashboard. There is a center console on the dashboard which has some gauges for the engine and a CD/radio for music. Unfortunately the gauges in this console have not yet been connected. The Sony cd/radio is able to play mp3 cds and there is a USB input for memory sticks and a jack socket for phone or i-player connection. The cd/radio has a remote control for operation from the rear compartment so it can be used whilst in bed. The curtains for all windows are complimented by a full set of thermal window covers and a thermal rap for the poptop to keep the warmth in the van. Opening skylight for ventilation on hot summer days.

The shiny metallic green paint work is in great condition and it has recently had new alloy wheels and tyres.

There are 3 or 4 boxes of spares and other parts. Included in these parts is a tow bar, a rear mount spare wheel carrier. The van is set up for two berth but could be made four berth by reinstalling the double bed in the poptop roof.

Being 1972 it is tax free and the insurance is less than £100 on classic insurance. It also means it wears the stylish silver on black number plates. An appreciating classic and simply loads of smiles per mile. MOT until August 2018

Agreed insurance valuation of £17,000 and priced to sell at £14,950

Located on the sunny Isle of Wight, V-dubisland is on now.
