I have a 1972 Original rock solid Westfalia for sale !!
I imported this van myself a year and a half ago from Colarado. I have decided to sell after a purchase of a high top.
There as never been any welding to the van and everywhere is rock solid apart from one small hole in the battery tray which has been rust treated. It has had some paint over the years but not by me and certainly not to cover any rot. There are a few dings in the body work and one small scrape down one side. The front end has lots of small stone chips but again no rust. The underneath is completely untouched and in its original paint so nothing has been covered up. All the wheel arches and jacking points also untouched and rock solid.
Interior
The interior is all original Westfalia in excellent condition even retaining the original floor. The pop up canvas is also original but has a few small tears in it and a zip is not working, (Although old and faded it still does not leak.
As you can see from the pics i put new empi 5 wheels and tyres with a view to lowering it slightly but so far it as not been lowered. ( i still have the original set of wheels and tyres.
At the moment i am trying this on early bay to be sold with a view to personalize !!
Things that are on my list that in my opinion the bus needs !!!!!!
New front door Cards ( the old ones were not great after i took them off to Ankor wax all the insides.
New Seat cover ( the old ones are after market but clean)
Quieter exhaust (again after market but solid)
This is really a genuine van that i would like to keep if i had the space !! At the moment it is garaged and only used in summer.
