I am sick of looking like the Michelin man... I prefer warm, say up to 35c, aircon is always an option...

Lived in south of France once, you always knew the weekends would be good so you could just do what you wanted, not have to plan around the weather. Also everyone smiles when the weather is decent. Eating al fresco in the evening... Chicks in short dresses, with perfect sun tans, slim beach figures, not lardy, tango, chip munchers I see here...

Ah yes, as Morcombe and Wise said.. "Bring me Sunshine"..

Spot on Jon. Don't forget BBQ's with mates, sitting around drinking lager and having a laugh.

And to those who say it's quicker to warm up then it is to cool down, have you ever been for a swim before?

Ditto

I've lived in Australia for five years, S.E Asia for three and had plenty of Mediterranean sun.... England's got one last chance this year to redeem itself and its not looking good....

Sweat my balls off for sure :D
I`m a builder and have to work out side all year round, always look forward to summer after a long cold winter!
Driving to Volksworld show in the snow with no heating nearly finished me off :(
Bring on the warm weather, cold beers and scantilly clothed women ;)
Paul, BRRRRR!

I work with some spanish guys and one said recently "how come in England when the sun comes out it's colder than when it's cloudy..." low to mid 20's for me and why can't it rain at night when we're asleep and be sunny during the day??? Typically british though, can't stand it being too warm for long.

try living in Wales. It isn't just cold its always raining as well. oh and I would rather be cold than warm, there is nothing you can do if your to warm you just have to grizz it out and keep going. If it's cold YOU CAN PUT ON ANOTHER LAYER

Guess where I am going this weekend...Wales :D . I'll pack lots of layers then, shall I?

as a builder too, i would say you're spot on paul, roll on the summer ! seems like its been winter for about a year now and im proper f@ckin sick of wearing five layers of clothes now

I run a window cleaning business. Im sick of the cold. If I had no family here would I b tempted to find warmer climates ? .... maybe
Gb is a great place but very cold
I love the auz climate

Freezing weather is certainly loosing its lustre for me. Coming here from Aus 4 years ago it was such a culture shock to drive to work through snow and icy conditions. But then, when the spring and summer came, the UK is a great place to be. However, this hideous cold of late is testing my patience. Do I miss Aus? You betcha! Am I home sick? Not really, yet.
Things I miss about Sydney:
Coming home from work and having dinner at the beach, either bought or brought from home in shorts and tshirts for at least 10 months of the year.
BYO BBQ's.
Cool early morning breezes at the beginning of a 35degree day.
Driving and going to the supermarket with no shoes on (this horrified my Welsh wife)
Eating meals on the patio and around the pool.
An afternoon at the rugby league....go dragons!
Things I don't miss:
Bindii's in the grass
Flies in late summer
Late February humidity that you could cut into blocks
Anyway, enough whinging. The sun is shining down here, it's a holiday and I have a stone wall to build in the garden.
Happy camping to all of you who are braving the cold.
