Got some new front disc backing plates for my disc conversion, problem is the spindles I've got have 3 bolt holes to hold the backing plates and the new backing plates only have 2 (neither of which line up) :?
The backing plates (which I have painted so can't send em back) are genuine 72> Brazillian from Heritage.
My question is..... are the first disc spindles (71 only) different to the standard 72on late bay ones??
Pics of assembled discs for reference would be a big help. 8)

Thanks. Matt.

Hiya mate,

I'm doing a king a nd link conv on my 71, and opposite to you, I now have the Brazilian Spindles which have 2 holes, so my old backing plates which have three holes will not fit onto them. You will need to either re drill your backing plates to match the spindles, or do away with them like I am as I was told to do from the supplier.

Or you two could swap...
