I need to raise funds for a house deposit, so I'm offering for sale my 1966 Beetle.

The car is very nice, and I invested a bit in the body this year to remove a few imperfections from the paint... it looks ACE now! :)

Now all shiny and clean... unless I take it out for a drive again

Clean & snug in the garage and safely out of this nasty weather. GYVW meet on Sunday, so if the weather is nice he might get a run out for that... but let's not be hasty...

Boshed this together this afternoon...

Although on Facebook it is visible to all :)

Sale is on hold for a while as I found it was letting water in at the passenger side footwell, there's the beginning of some rust and deterioration in the pan / body sealing and I'm going to get that sorted before the car goes.

Cheers, shall post pictures of the work when done.

Hi Ian, I note from the pictures that beetle is not running heat exchangers due to the larger boar exhaust system. Do you know if the rest of heater system is present on the car ?

Cheers

Hi Sam,

Depends what you mean... to give this car heaters you would need the following:

Fanhousing
Rear tin
Heat exchangers
Link pipes

Everything from the link pipes forward (including cables) remains in the car.

It's not a daily though, so if you're looking for that then you'd need to look elsewhere :)

I'm finding that real life is standing in the way of me getting the welding sorted in the OSF inner arch. I've had a quote from my body guy of £450 for sorting this.

If anyone wants to try an offer and take the car as it is, feel welcome. I'm a bit bogged down by this and the 924 and want to get my 944 sorted and get a Westy roof on the Bay.

It's that time of year I guess :)

I'd take the engine on a pallet :) wud go nice in m bus Lovely bug by the way just can't have one :(
