Hi there. After nearly killing my family with fumes traveling to vanfest last year I promised to sort out the petrol fumes in the cabin area. Well thanks to top bloke Rob ("our bus 68" on here) the engine and firewall came out last Saturday. There on the top of the fuel tank was an elbow which had perished, fine they're listed in all the parts catalogues so that's sorted! But the rest of the hoses dont look great so I'll order some 7mm at the same time and clips. Now my problem the fuel filler hose is no longer available at VWH so where do I get one? I've added a picture so you can hopefully see which bit I mean. I know you guys have this sorted somewhere!

Thanks

Sparky.

but I'm sure pirtec could sort you something out

Thanks Harlequin, I couldn't find that post no mater how much I searched. Mine is a crossover too, does your hose look like mine? If so I can get a late bay one. VWH list short (211-201-125/SHORT)and long 211-201-125/D which one did you buy?

Thanks

Sparky

If your filler cap is about a foot closer to the rear of the van than other EB's you are in luck as its the same as late bay( 73 >)
One of the few times where owning a crossover works in our favour :)
Sorry can't help with which one I used as it was afew years ago, but I did get it from Heritage

Going to be replacing mine (also a crossover) soon, I read somewhere that schofields do replacement filler hose (not sure if its for a 72 though). Apparently you have to phone and ask for it because its not in their catalogue.

Sparky check out some of the kit car parts suppliers such as Europa.

They tend to stock all manner of hoses and in fact I bought some wire bound filler hose from them for my '71. Due to the flexibility I'm pretty sure you would be able to achieve the bend radius of your original pipe.

It's worth a look.

Cheers

Ian
