Hi folks,

Any thoughts on why when I put headlight son main beam my fuel guage rises a little?

Cheers,
Dave

Cheers Sparky,

I'll cleam up the terminals and see where it gets the Earth from. Looks like this might help my low reading guage too.

I had similar problems and replaced the voltage regulator, obviously cleaning up contacts first as that is free :). For me replacing the voltage regulator smoothed out the fuel gauge movements.

That was until the Sender went...Then begun the game of "petrol bingo" I managed 5 years (or level 5!) before a clutch replacement forced dropping the engine to get in the back.

Terminals all cleaned up and it's better. Tiny movement when you flash headlights, but only 1mm or so...Cheers all. Be interesting to see if the guage gets over its usual 80 percent when full. :)
