Hi, Apologies for this newbie question  - I have got a bus with no engine but I do have a gearbox. As you can see the gearbox is suspended by a piece of wood and wire - I am not sure if there is a bracket missing or if this is just to keep movement down to a minimum while being transported?? Have looked at pics on others threads and checked my Haynes manual but cannot see anything obvious missing. Am I ok to remove the wooden post? Or am I missing a mounting bracket?

Thanks in advance.

Dont remove it without supporting the gearbox, the engine forms the other mount (via the support bar) on earlybays

Excellent - thanks a lot :D . As I could not see anything in the pictures I 'thought' it might be something like that but wanted to be sure first. I guess that it is easier to remove the gearbox and fit to the engine then fit both into the vehicle in one go?

I am just glad there are not more rare parts missing!!!
