Not posted much...it at all? but have a question and thought your collective expertise would help.
Currently i've a 1303 gearbox in my 71 bay window and am running on 175x65x14 rear tyres (giving me my desired stance & ride height)
With a .93 4th gear i'm at 3250 rpm @ 55mph and 4200 rpm @ 70 mph (passing etc)
I really want to lower my revs at a 60-65mph cruising speed.
The option I have is to fit a 1600 ring & pinion and change the .93 4th gear to a .89.
This will give me 65mph @3250rpm in 4th.
Any other options guys/Girls? (other than running chunkier tyres of course)
