Gearbox upgrade or Tyres

My gearbox is a complete unknown so think I'll get Bears to give it the once over and do a refresh.

Should I also have them fit a ring and pinion to raise the 4th gear OR shall I save the pennies and go for taller ratio tyres for the rear? The new ring/pinion is 395+VAT :| + labour @ 275+vat.

I would sort out what sort of ride / height you want including tyre size and engine spec etc then speak to Bears and get them to let you know your options with regard to gearing as they will do it to best suit your ride and what you would like from it with regards to performance / speed / cruising etc. :mrgreen:
