Well exited
Been quoted 1500 quid for a full respray by a local bodyshop who have done work for me before and i trust to do a perfect job.
Had a few quotes from 1500 to 5k. Havnt got 5k spare  .
My bus had a front panel repair done by them a few months back and the match isnt good compared to the original.
For the purists that OG paint it isnt OG ( although i thought it was ). Ive learnt a fair bit about my vans bodywork from chatting to various bodyshops getting quotes and its had a full respray at sometime in its life.
Its going to Action this weekend then slowly getting stripped over the next few weeks at work. Gotta replace about 6 inches of roof gutter and the panel between the tailgate and engin lid as it has filler in it (already purchased from C&C).
Cant wait

Nice looking bus mate, are you gonna keep the same colors ?
I like that combination.

Here's a picture I took of a bus at a local show last month in the same colors as yours.

Cheers.
Yep, only the red is being done this time. The roof and bumpers were painted a few months back.
Gotta get the wheels done at some point, theyre the only bits left to paint externaly.
The interior is just a great big sheet of MDF as a bed at the mo  .
Probably got all my priorities all wrong but what the hell...
Once ive replaced a few external bits that need changing (chrome trim etc) il move onto the interior.

Who's the best for front door rubbers please people?
Gotta strip the doors bare for paint so a full rubber kit is needed C&C, Status, JK(joke  )...?

Always use Status for door rubbers, although I think a lot of them come from the same supplier, don't use JK

Nice Looking van!
Is your van lowered at the front?
If so how much and what is your tyre size?

Red and white is such a good colour combination for an early bay, should look stunning when done looks good now.

Hi Rich, bet you can't wait? :D
Are you still doing the Breeze? be nice to see the old girl again :) I'm going to Vanfest on the Saturday shopping, but not in the bus I'm afraid. :(
I'm going to take it to Brighton, then mines coming off the road for the winter and she's going to work.
C&C rubbers are good provided you ask for 'German made' Bl**dy handy livin next door to one of the owners ;)
Status of course are very good too.

Standard 14 inch wheels. Tyres are standard (cant remember what size, will look tomorrow) from carmanconnection in southend. Rear has gone down a spline, front is on adjusters (Creative Engineering)and gone down about 2 1/2 to 3 inches.

Cheers. We (The missus and i) were thinking of doing it in Dove Blue over the weekend using the "sod it, you only live once" way of thinking. But saw an Early in DB at Action and then decided to go back to Red. Dit look luvly in Blue and the Bus was a real Stunna but we thinks we will stick to Red now  .

Evning good buddy, Yep im still doing BB but we are staying in a Hotel for the night so il be bright n fresh to do a bit of Sea fishing at the Marina on the Sunday  . Plan was to take the Bus but i gotta strip it down to a Rolling shell for the middle of october when its off for paint. I want you to cast your eye over her to see if you think ive done her justice but itl have to be next year now unfortunately. Il keep an eye out for you and your Bus whilst the show is on, would be good to have a natter.
I rang up C&C just after i baught the Bus from you and told him id just baught it from down that way. He said was it parked on ........Rd? When i said yes (thinking he had ESP or something), he said he was looking to buy the house next door. Small world eh?

I'll catch up with you at BB on the day :) Looks sweet being lowered just a tad. 'Dove blue'? get out of here, Montana!!
As I told you when you came down, its a good base to paint.

Started stripping me Bus this evning  . Front panel completly stripped, lights bumpers etc....
Stripped the front doors. Got opening 1/4 windows. They were an absolute nightmare to strip and am looking forward to putting them back together already..NOT!!!! :?

Took the windows out of my Bus today. 3 Of them i cut out as they were split even though i only fitted them earlier this year
