Been invited to experience the new 911 in action in a couple of weeks. I've only driven a 912 many years ago and a nearly new 997 was on the shortlist last year when I bought my MB c63 but I never test drove one as I didn;t like my local dealer.

Anyone had a go in the new 991 version of the 911? Part of me is kinda hoping I dont like it as I am starting to think about swapping out my AMG... I'm only look at the base model carrera.

In the near to mid future I will be getting a late 996 Turbo although my budget wouldn't stretch to a new 911 I would love to try one!
The Turbo is the only car for me - 4wd and 400+hp will be just the ticket!

Lovely cars just a little too old for me to have as a daily driver (I have a bus if I don't always want to get to me destination) But they pretty quick. I'll let you know how I get on.

If I could afford a newer one I would jump at the chance but cant quite manage it!
Clare has taken some convincing that £28k is a good deal for a 10 year old sportscar!

Very jealous of your "difficult" choice - let us know how you get on with the test drive - and take pics!! 8)

I would have thought everyone on here would go with the porker instead of the fat business mans barge :)

It'll take me ages before I decide Shaun! The other option is to go the next step in tuning for mine which are new manifolds which will give me around 550-555bhp and a load more torque, that and a new set of HRE rims...

It still makes me smile when I start it and gives me a stupid grin when I drive it so I am in no hurry.

I am very lucky that I have an understanding wife that also likes cars so doesn't really take too much convincing.

I will definitely let you know, so long as they don't mind pics will be taken :)
