After having no engine in my van for over a year. I have finally got one :D

Recon 1641 twin port and all set up ready to go.

All I need now is time to fit it and then it's time for an MOT and we are back on the road at last!! 8)

nice looking lump fella.
who built it for you and how much ;)

good luck with the mot chief.

Got it from the vw engine company.

Friendly and helpful people and a good price I thought.

1641cc engine £1195 + vat
Turn key service £195 + vat
Engine courier service £70
Plus a few replacement parts and tinware needed etc.

I paid around £1800 for everything.

They arranged a courier to collect old engine and all ancillaries. Shot blasted, acid dipped and repainted everything. All in less than a week. They will also fit the engine for free. However as I'm in Dorset it was going to cost around £500 for transporting my van there and back. So I'm doing it myself.

Happy days are here again!!!! :D

Is the ford classic a runner? They must be quite rare these days.
I was thinking the same, is that a Consul?

Sadly she doesn't run at the moment but is at some point going to be restored again.

I have owned her 23 years now. Bought as a wreck then restored, won a couple of trophys but now is in need of some cosmetic work again. Been off the road the last 12 years

A very rare car now being a goodwood green 1500 deluxe two door classic. Since owning her I have only ever seen two others identical. The idea was to restore her again in 2007 however I did the silly thing of buying an early bay!!
