Agree with everyone - it does look the dogs dangleys. 8)

Take it you haven't changed the shoxs then.

No shocks did get changed for a pair of lowered gas ones.

I take it the ride is good then? have you got the part number/model of shock, I need to replace mine & ride height is similar.

Hi,

Have you got a side view picture of your bus - showing the rake (if any)?

Have the adjusters got any more adjustment in them - i.e. can it go lower (I guess this depends on how/where they were welded into the beam)?

Also, what profile/height tyres are you running on the front?

Cheers,

Mike

looking good, standard rims are so cool!

but we do need a side shot of the finished product!

Keeping the stock wheels.
I didn't want to lower too much as intend to use in the summer months for what it was intended for. The van also came with new 205/75 tyres all round and thought it would be pointless replacing the front pair for a lower profile and also means i can have a genuine spare.

I love slammed vans and my last was but thought i'd be practical this time round.

Just right Kempy, looks perfect IMO for a usable camper. Total Cost?

I got MAC to seal the front screen & deglaze the brake pads whilest it was there so off the top of my head the cost for lowering was just over £400.

The £400 included the adjusters and KYB Gas shocks, but the majority was labour. If i wanted to go down 2 splines at the rear it would have cost more as the spring plates would have needed notching to clear.

I managed to source a pair of adjusters for £60 which helped keep the price down. I think the average price for lowering is about £450.

As stated it's far from radical but compared from the original height it's made a huge difference to the look. There is still scope to drop further on the adjusters if i want to at a later date and if i did I'd swap the rear spring plates for a pair of adjustable..

Why can't we get california weather.

Look at the difference between the 2 photo's. One bright and sunny the other dull and grey.

Also a pic of my last bus, check out how low the steering box was from the ground
