I plan on fitting my Grundig Ingolstadt radio this week, I've picked up the correct connectors for the speaker/s today from maplins and I understand which wires go where, However I think an in-line fuse would be a good idea to protect the radio...so what size fuse is correct is my question..
Any advice welcome :)

P (W)= I x V
I = P/V

If you know how much power is draws you can work out the current, add a little margin and all is good. Should be around 5A I think. Make sure the power wires are sized accordingly.

Cheers for that, Sadly there ins't any reference to power rating on the unit at all regarding watts :| all I know is that it's 12V.

I'll do a good googling and if no joy I'll go with your 5A suggestion and see how it fairs. thanks again.
