So got a set of these from ebay to upgrade my dashboard lighting

All work great and well worth the £12

BUT..... Don't change the charge light bulb to LED!

Took me ages to work out why I had to rev the nuts off my motor to get the charge light to go out and the alternator to start charging, thought it was a duff alternator for a while as it was also new but since realised that LED's draw so little power it wasn't drawing enough volts to trigger the charging circuit.

As soon as I switched it back to the normal bulb light goes out straight away and starts charging straight away.

Every days a school day - well for me at least

LED's harsh light. Use larger wattage bulbs, or more bulbs, if it's too dim.

I did this, but dash wiring needs upgrading to suit, as from memory, 0.5mm2 cable isn’t adequate for the wiring of multiple bulbs with double the wattage.
