I've just had to replace my Headlight switch.

My orginal one had 7 electrical connector blades on.

The JK replacement described as Headlight switch for Type 2, '67 to '78, only has 6 blades on.

(yes it still has the dimmer working).

Have connected it up and all appears to work.

Has anyone else found this and what is the actual difference?

when i replaced mine, looking at the wiring diagram, i think the missing connector was for the parking light (poss. an American thing ?), but every thing else seems to work ok.

Thanks, i can't work it out.

But Hey my van passed it's test last Friday (after 12 months in the garage - resto).

Few bit to finish off should be back out on the road by next weekend.
