I am looking to re-install heat exchangers on my van but need to know more about them.

I have been offered some 6 month old exchangers originally from machine 7 for £60 off a 1600 split, will they fit my 1600 type one crossover? I have the flexi-hoses going to the van but what else might I need to get some heat while I'm driving?

Alternatively I can get one heat exchanger I believe is OG for £23, would it be worth getting this and waiting for the other side?

I still need an exhaust before the heat exchangers can go on so I am not in a rush...

OG are better they have more internal fins so heat air better the later non OEM types.

You will just need hoses from fan shroud and hoses underneath to main hot air pipe. make sure the plastic pipes underneath have the heat resistant seal, I not sure if the exchangers get hot enough to melt the pipe without them.

The only fiddly bit is connecting the cable and that just an access issue.

Bug exchangers also fit but there is a small port hear the closing flap on the heat exchanger which need to be blocked off (just fold over with some mole grips), the only other difference seems to be that the flap opening arm on bug exchangers in on the other side to bus ones.

Once you have all you unions clamped up you should get nice warm air to your screen and feet. :D

Saw this no fleabay not sure which side you need price looks good though, depending on delivery cost.
