help bus starts then cuts out after seconds?!?!

just got the bus back from its mot... and getting ready for camperjam and then... it starts after a few turns, normally starts first time, then after reving and running for 10-20 seconds she cuts out , even with revs. any ideas? also noted since i got it back the electric windscreen wash button dead. is it related? or just a horrible coincidence?! lol!

could an electrical fault be causing this?

Does it restart after stalling?
Have you checked your fuses to see if one has blown?
How long ago was the carb rebuilt?

Really could be a few things although a little weird how it fires up and runs ok then cuts out.
Does it stall if you put it in gear and try and drive away?

Need a little more info to help a bit further - should be a straightforward fix though after a few checks.

fuel cut off springs to mind but to little info mate really.

Fuel cut off solenoid faulty or fuel pump. Sounds like it is draining the float bowl and cutting out. P

sorry, been at work so couldn't give much info! right, just got back from my late shift and thought of something. the mechanic said he'd tightened my ignition barrel as the key always spins in it slightly, which was probably the right thing to do!!!.however it always has moved a bit but I obviously know the knack of popping the key in without the barrel spinning. so I tried starting it in its new tightened position again and it cut out. angry with it I thought stuff this and span it back into its original loose position, and now she's starting no probs . could the position he'd fixed it in made a wire touch metal, causing it to cut out,and as after cutting out with the key in still the dash lights were flickering as I was wiggling the key?!?!
neighbours must think im daft starting my van numerous times at 11pm at night!!!!
